About the position

The Project Coordinator at Slate Studios is responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of interior design projects, ensuring smooth coordination between clients, vendors, and contractors. This role involves utilizing project management software, conducting site visits, and handling procurement and logistics to facilitate the successful execution of design projects. Responsibilities

  • Maintain project status on project management software, updating milestones, tasks, and deadlines.
  • Facilitate reselections for backordered items and manage change orders with clients and vendors.
  • Place orders for project furnishings, materials, and services, ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Conduct regular site visits to document job site progress and coordinate with contractors and trades.
  • Prepare and send weekly emails summarizing project updates and shipment tracking information to clients.
  • Coordinate and host punchlist walkthroughs with contractors to ensure all items are addressed satisfactorily.
  • Plan and schedule furnishings installation dates, coordinating with cleaning crews and movers.
  • Oversee furnishings installation days, resolving any deficiencies or issues that arise during the process.
  • Conduct project closeout with clients, ensuring they have all necessary files and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in project coordination, logistics, or construction administration.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation.
  • Ability to develop relationships with clients, vendors, and trades.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
