About the position

The Project Coordinator position at the University of Michigan's Michigan Center for Contextual Factors in Alzheimer's Disease (MCCFAD) is a vital role that focuses on coordinating and facilitating communication among various Core components of the Center. The MCCFAD aims to address health inequalities related to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) by emphasizing social and behavioral factors. The Project Coordinator will work closely with Core Leads, Co-Leads, Area Experts, Community Liaisons, and Pilot Research Scientists to ensure smooth operations and effective communication across all components of the Center. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and managing meetings, including those of the Principal Investigators and the Community Advisory Board. This includes scheduling, maintaining records, and ensuring that action items from meetings are addressed in a timely manner. A key aspect of this role is the ability to engage with minority communities, particularly the Middle East/North African/Arab American (MENA) communities, to foster collaboration and outreach. In addition to meeting coordination, the Project Coordinator will oversee various research programs, including the Pilot Project and Summer Data Immersion programs. This involves preparing solicitation materials, managing applications, and ensuring that final reports are collected and distributed appropriately. Event coordination is another critical responsibility, requiring the Project Coordinator to manage logistics, vendor relations, and on-site execution of events, which may extend beyond regular working hours. The role also includes data management responsibilities, such as tracking pilot study investigators, collecting and summarizing data, and assisting with report writing and presentations. The Project Coordinator will collaborate with Program Administrators to manage event expenses and reimbursements, ensuring that all financial aspects are handled efficiently. This position is strictly on-site, emphasizing the importance of in-person collaboration and engagement with the Center's activities.
