About the position

J. J. Keller is seeking a detail-oriented, self-starter to join our team as a Project Coordinator in our Vehicle Legalization department. As a Project Coordinator, you will have daily interaction with internal and external parties to facilitate and implement vehicle compliance for customers. This position will apply expertise to support and work directly with customers, states, vendors, and internal partners to ensure a positive customer experience and successful completion of regulatory items including mileage, fuel tax, vehicle titling, vehicle registration, etc. This position is on-site at our Neenah, WI office. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients for Vehicle Legalization services. You will advise clients on regulatory requirements, recommend actions needed to improve compliance levels, resolve service issues, and provide regular updates on progress. You will actively collaborate with Sales Associates to advise clients in their purchase decisions and improve the client experience from point of sale through service delivery. Facilitating the timely and successful implementation of services in accordance with clients' objectives and contracted projects will be a key responsibility, along with assigning resources as necessary. You will initiate and complete work orders to deliver a variety of vehicle services to clients, including completing state applications, renewals, and submitting work to vendor and state representatives. Additionally, you will maintain an expert-level understanding of regulations, conducting independent research required to stay current with IFTA, IRP, Title & Registration, and state vehicle-related regulations. Sharing this knowledge with clients, sales representatives, and other internal partners will be essential to further develop their vehicle knowledge. You will also build a network of critical resources within the industry to effectively troubleshoot issues at both the state and federal level, and make recommendations to Product Management and sales teams on service improvements and new service ideas based on feedback from clients and personal observations.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for clients for Vehicle Legalization services.

  • Assigns resources as necessary to ensure project success.
  • Initiates and completes work orders to deliver a variety of vehicle services to clients.
  • Completes state applications, renewals, and submits work to vendor and state representatives.
  • Monitors progress of permits and other vehicle-related services.
  • Completes system configuration and set-up and data migration services in accordance with client needs.
  • Provides clients with information and special resources to help with complex projects.
  • Maintains an expert-level understanding of regulations and conducts independent research.
  • Shares regulatory knowledge with clients, sales representatives, and other internal partners.
  • Builds a network of critical resources within the industry to troubleshoot issues.
  • Makes recommendations to Product Management and sales teams on service improvements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of total office experience.
  • High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Post secondary education in a business-related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of FMCSR regulations desirable.
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to apply regulatory knowledge in a variety of situations.
  • Independent decision-making skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in vehicle compliance or related fields.
  • Familiarity with IFTA and IRP regulations.
