About the position

As we celebrate our Centennial year, the American Heart Association is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to join our Cleveland office. This full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule and is integral to our mission of promoting longer, healthier lives for everyone. The Project Coordinator will provide essential administrative support to two fundraising staff members and assist with communication efforts. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of events and initiatives that align with our goals of health equity and community engagement. The Project Coordinator will oversee all aspects of event support for initiatives such as Go Red For Women and STEM Goes Red For Girls, while also providing communication support for the Cleveland Market. This includes developing, inputting, and maintaining information in various computer software programs, including a CRM and event-specific software. The coordinator will be responsible for generating reports, manipulating data from multiple systems, and handling financial tasks such as paying invoices, tracking expenses, and processing donations. Additionally, the coordinator will maintain staff calendars, manage scheduling, and develop materials for events and meetings as needed. Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of event support for Go Red For Women and STEM Goes Red For Girls.
  • Support the Cleveland Market with communications.
  • Develop, input, and maintain information in appropriate computer software programs, including a CRM and event-specific software.
  • Handle report generation, including manipulating data from multiple systems.
  • Manage financial tasks, including paying invoices, tracking expenses, and processing donations.
  • Maintain staff calendars and handle scheduling.
  • Develop event and meeting materials as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related administrative experience preferred.
  • Must have earned a high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience and skill in using a database management system, preferably a CRM specific program.
  • Must have at least intermediate knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office used for word processing, email, presentations, and spreadsheets. Advanced knowledge and skill with these programs is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects.
  • Skill and ability in providing customer service at an excellent level to internal and external customers and partners.
  • Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving.
