About The Position

The Project Coordinator position at the University of Minnesota is designed to support funded research projects and the Midwest Center for Occupational Health and Safety (MCOHS) - Outreach Program within the Division of Environmental Health Sciences. This role is crucial in managing multiple research and outreach projects, ensuring effective coordination and communication among various stakeholders. The Project Coordinator will work directly under the guidance of faculty members, contributing to the development of technical assistance and outreach materials, and assisting in the preparation of IRB protocols, grant proposals, reports, and manuscripts. The position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask across various projects while managing data from diverse sources. In addition to research support, the Project Coordinator will engage with MCOHS trainees to facilitate their participation in outreach activities, track and document their involvement, and coordinate outreach initiatives. This includes collaborating with marketing and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding for the outreach program. The role also involves managing the occupational hygiene outreach equipment rental program, which includes preparing and maintaining lab space, tracking inventory, ensuring equipment functionality, and coordinating calibration of instruments as needed. The work environment is hybrid, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work, which provides flexibility while maintaining a collaborative atmosphere.
