About the position

The Project Coordinator will assist the Division of Addiction Treatment and Recovery (ATAR) at the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) in administering the NYS EQUITY Grant. This role focuses on ensuring a coordinated and integrated system of care for transition age youth and their families in specific counties. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to manage contracts and budgets, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining an up-to-date project workplan
• Facilitating monthly project meetings between OASAS and contractors
• Reviewing evaluation reports from the project's contracted evaluation team
• Tracking and processing payments to contractors
• Managing the project budget and establishing/managing 2-3 contracts
• Writing, compiling, and disseminating project information internally and externally

Requirements

• An associate degree with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a project management role and/or in a behavioral health field, OR
• A bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience, OR
• A master's degree with 1 year of professional experience, OR
• A Ph.D.
• Possession of a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State

Nice-to-haves

• Degree in public health, public administration, sociology, psychology, project management, business, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience implementing projects of similar size and complexity
• Experience working in culturally diverse communities
