About the position

The Project Coordinator will assist in the planning, execution, and completion of various projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the project management team, coordinating resources, tracking project progress, and ensuring smooth communication between stakeholders. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining project schedules, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring that all assignments are completed on time and within scope. In this position, the Project Coordinator will track project progress and maintain project documentation, including reports, timelines, and meeting minutes. Acting as a point of contact for project stakeholders, the coordinator will facilitate communication and ensure alignment among all parties involved. The role also involves identifying potential risks or delays and working with the project manager to address issues proactively. Organizing and facilitating project meetings, preparing agendas, and following up on action items will be key responsibilities. Additionally, the Project Coordinator will lead the preparation of project proposals, progress reports, and presentations, ensuring that all assignments meet quality standards and client expectations. The coordinator will coordinate and support projects related to food science, dietary supplement development, or supply chain management, conducting research to gather relevant data on ingredients, formulas, product specifications, and other project-specific elements. Vendor assessments will also be part of the role, analyzing cost structures, timelines, and overall suitability for projects, and providing recommendations based on evaluations to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality. Compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines will be a critical aspect of the role, along with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Familiarity working with dietary supplement or natural food formulas, ingredients, processing, and labeling guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello, ClickUp) and MS Office 365.
  • Associate's degree in dietetics, food science, nutrition, a related field, or previous experience in the dietary supplement or healthy food space desired.
  • Prior experience in project coordination or a related role is preferred.
  • Experience conducting research and assessing vendors, including cost analysis and timeline evaluations.
