About the position

The Project Coordinator at Bearing Construction, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the Project Management Team throughout the entire project lifecycle, from bid to completion. This position involves organizing and coordinating project activities, assisting in planning, scheduling, and monitoring multiple projects, and ensuring compliance with safety, budget, and quality requirements. The Project Coordinator will work collaboratively with various personnel and manage project documentation and communication effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate daily with assigned Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager and other Project Coordinators.
  • Proactively manage the submittal process and draft, submit, and update submittals on Procore.
  • Review resubmittals for compliance with previous engineer's reviews.
  • Maintain databases related to vendor information, submittals, drawings, and other documents.
  • Follow up with vendors to verify schedules and identify delays early.
  • Provide regular schedule updates to Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager.
  • Communicate with project partners to obtain necessary information through RFIs and maintain an accurate RFI log.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence as directed.
  • Assist with document control, meeting minutes, and filing documentation.
  • Ensure access to up-to-date contract documents and vendor submittals for the project team.
  • Maintain a submittal log of procurement status for materials.
  • Review and process contract documents and shop drawings under supervision.
  • Assess project risks and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Track project phase completion against milestones.
  • Collect and collate data for Operations & Maintenance Manuals.
  • Provide additional support to Project Managers as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of experience in general administration duties.
  • Previous experience related to the construction industry.
