About the position
The Project Cost Accountant at Mainstream Fiber Networks is a permanent, full-time role focused on applying accounting principles to manage financial records and prepare comprehensive reports. Responsibilities
- Assist in applying accounting principles to classify, record, and summarize financial data.
- Maintain accurate financial records by compiling and documenting transactions.
- Finalize accounting reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Study and analyze accounting records to prepare detailed financial statements and reports.
- Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support project budgeting.
- Assist in preparing for audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records.
- Identify opportunities for improving processes and efficiency within the accounting function.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance; experience in project accounting is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and prepare reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Nice-to-haves
- CPA or other relevant certifications is a plus.
