About the position

The Project & Data Coordinator at Loyola University Chicago is responsible for supporting the Student Affairs office in the School of Social Work by enhancing the internship process for students through the Sonia Online Database. This role involves technical assistance, data management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to improve the internship experience and support the launch of the PeopleGrove alumni mentoring program. The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual with strong analytical and interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple projects and fostering a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Student Affairs office in maintaining and improving the internship process using Sonia.
  • Re-create and test internship forms and create workflows between stakeholders.
  • Provide training to all stakeholders on the internship process.
  • Support the launch of the PeopleGrove platform for managing the alumni mentoring program.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the Sonia Online Database software.
  • Document and manage Sonia issues and keep the internship team updated.
  • Collaborate with University IT and Sonia Support to resolve software issues.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze data to maintain the integrity of the online database.
  • Serve as a resource for data and evaluation information for the School of Social Work.
  • Manage evaluation requests related to grants and other data needs.
  • Lead program evaluation and survey design efforts.
  • Conduct quality assurance of data and design evaluation plans.
  • Enhance communication among team members and stakeholders.
  • Participate in the Assessment and Evaluation Committee.
  • Manage Sakai users and make necessary updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 1-3 years of related experience in data management or evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and experience with data management systems.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
  • Experience in research design and survey research design.
  • Ability to communicate technical results to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Social work experience preferred but not required.
  • Interest in training and technical assistance.
  • Experience with SPSS, SAS, or other statistical analysis tools.
