About the position

X-ELIO is a leading global renewable energy company focused on developing and constructing highly profitable and eco-friendly solar, energy storage, and H2 plants. With a strong track record of delivering 5GW of renewable energy projects in 13 countries across 5 continents, X-ELIO is owned by Brookfield and is currently developing over 5 GW of new projects in 7 key markets. We are looking for a Project Developer Manager based in Washington DC, who will be a key member of the X-ELIO team, focusing on providing project and portfolio level support to ensure that X-Elio's solar and BESS initiatives are met. This position will oversee development assets to obtain the necessary approvals to reach construction-ready status, including administration, sourcing, acquisition, due diligence, and execution across the portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project and portfolio level entitlement, interconnection and permitting efforts in defined markets, adhering to approved schedules and budgets for assigned utility scale solar and BESS projects.
  • Evaluate technical and economic feasibility of proposed projects at various stages of development, including both utility solar and battery energy storage systems.
  • Concise communication to X-Elio leadership of development risks and recommend mitigation strategies for pipeline and project leads.
  • Manage junior project developers, providing guidance and suggestions to help overcome their project challenges.
  • Ensure that all programmatic and interconnection needs are met for Solar and BESS projects across assigned markets. Coordinate with X-Elio's Construction and Procurement Teams to ensure the project's budget and timeline are met as it relates to interconnection and any discretionary permitting required.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in Development
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous experience in a Power/ Renewable Energies/ PV developer company
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
