About the position

The I-CARE Project Director position is responsible for leading the I-CARE program aimed at enhancing the integration of behavioral health services within primary care at San Felipe Pueblo. This role involves developing processes and programming to achieve grant goals, supervising grant operations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to promote integrated health services.

Responsibilities

  • Implement grant goals and objectives.
  • Ensure that grant deliverables are achieved.
  • Supervise day-to-day grant operations and facilitate professional development of grant staff.
  • Communicate with funding agency grants project officer, technical assistance providers, and other federal support staff.
  • Provide and/or facilitate trainings on integrated behavioral health, including evidence-based models.
  • Collaborate with San Felipe Behavioral Health Program Director and Health Clinic staff regarding integration of services.
  • Engage with San Felipe Health and Wellness leadership to promote I-CARE objectives.
  • Collaborate with tribal programs and engage in community activity planning and events.
  • Write and submit programmatic reports to federal entities and Tribal Administration.
  • Assist with preparation and submission of grant budgets and applications.
  • Engage in monthly technical assistance meetings and webinars relevant to BH2I grantees.
  • Ensure fidelity and compliance to evidence-based model implementation.
  • Collaborate with evaluators to develop data collection procedures for programmatic reports.
  • Assist providers in developing culturally appropriate health programs.
  • Establish a system of organization for grant-related activities and documents.
  • Arrange purchasing of supplies for grant activities.
  • Organize logistical details for meetings and trainings.
  • Develop materials for programmatic feedback to partners and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master's degree preferred, Bachelor's degree required in a related field (social work, psychology, health administration).
  • 4+ years of experience in the healthcare field or health-related grant activities.
  • Knowledge of cultural aspects of wellness and administrative management.
  • Demonstrated competence in managing federal grants and budgets.
  • Experience with grants management database and federal report writing.
  • Experience working in an IHS facility or understanding integrated behavioral health functions preferred.
  • Previous experience working with the Native American population preferred.
