About the position
The Project Director for the Water Business at Black & Veatch is responsible for managing large Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) projects, ensuring successful execution in terms of cost, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction. This role involves leading multi-discipline teams, coordinating project activities, and managing risks associated with complex projects. The position emphasizes the importance of staffing, contractual compliance, and safety while delivering infrastructure solutions that benefit communities.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of large Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC)/Service projects.
- Ensure successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope.
- Oversee performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Provide for the successful staffing of the project.
- Manage and lead large teams of multi-discipline professionals.
- Coordinate and integrate activities associated with engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team.
Requirements
- Typically 12 years of experience in project management or related field.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in managing multiple clients and/or projects with complex challenges.
- Familiarity with contract negotiations and obtaining new/repeat business on large projects.
