About the position

As a Project Electrical Engineer at Olsson, you will lead the electrical design and coordination of electrical systems for various large-scale projects, including commercial developments and healthcare facilities. This role involves creating construction documents, executing quality assurance plans, mentoring team members, and collaborating with clients and other disciplines to deliver innovative engineering solutions that positively impact communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and coordination of electrical systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Create construction documents and specifications for projects.
• Execute quality assurance/quality control plans.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and team members.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
• Perform supporting calculations for electrical systems.
• Meet with clients to discuss conceptual and final designs.
• Travel to job sites for observation and inspections.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 5-15+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and desire to provide innovative solutions.
• Understanding of International Building Codes.
• Experience with RSMeans.
