About the position

In this role, you will conduct comprehensive analysis of powertrain unit performance metrics including quality, cost, and delivery. You will utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance competitiveness. You will also research and analyze competitors' powertrain units to understand market trends, technological advancements, and best practices, translating findings into actionable strategies to maintain or surpass industry standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost reduction opportunities within the powertrain unit production process and implement strategies to improve cost efficiency without compromising quality or performance. Leading continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance productivity throughout the powertrain unit lifecycle will be a key responsibility, as well as partnering with suppliers to optimize component sourcing and ensure timely delivery of quality materials. Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry developments related to powertrain engineering and manufacturing will be essential, as will working closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to align objectives. You will prepare and present reports, performance dashboards, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders, communicating key findings and future strategies to drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze competitors' powertrain units to understand market trends and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Partner with suppliers to optimize component sourcing and ensure timely delivery.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and evaluate their feasibility.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams.
  • Prepare and present reports and performance dashboards to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, powertrain engineering, or related industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost optimization, process improvement, and project management.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
