About the position

The Project Engineer 2 role at Millipore Corporation involves managing multiple product development projects simultaneously. This position serves as a critical link between research and development (R&D) and manufacturing, ensuring that new products transition smoothly from development to production. The engineer will collaborate with various departments, including Quality, Purchasing, Marketing, and Operations, to facilitate project success and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the bridge between R&D and manufacturing for new products.
• Aid in all validation strategies for new products and equipment.
• Evaluate any risks to manufacturing during the development process before project release.
• Procure necessary contractors, materials, and equipment to support projects.
• Coordinate schedules with stakeholders and manufacturing, managing day-to-day project activities.
• Manage the knowledge transfer from the end of the project to manufacturing startup.
• Responsible for the turnover package to site support teams including AutoCAD drawings, PM plans, spare parts, asset records, and knowledge transfer.
• Review and approve pertinent NPI documentation such as purchase specifications, validation protocols and reports, and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices.
• Ensure the team applies safe work practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other Engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, research and development, or chemical production environment.
• 4+ years of experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years engineering experience within a pharmaceutical, chemical, or other production experience.
• Experience working with GMP and GDP.
