About the position

MSA is seeking a Project Engineer for its Rhinelander, WI office, where you will manage projects from inception to completion, contributing to significant community improvements. As a full-service, employee-owned consulting firm, MSA focuses on enhancing infrastructure and neighborhoods through exceptional service and collaboration with clients.

Responsibilities

• Project management including project planning, scoping, budgeting, and QA/QC.
• Client relations including council meetings with clients.
• Design of municipal infrastructure projects.
• Assist with mentoring junior engineering staff.
• Preparation of plans, details, specifications, and bidding documents.
• Preparation of technical reports and regulatory permits for projects.
• Development of project funding packages with assistance from funding staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience including general municipal design and construction is required.
• PE license required, WI PE preferred.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Desire to work in a consulting environment.

Nice-to-haves

• 8 or more years of prior experience in civil engineering.
• Previous client liaison and project management experience or a desire to step into that role.
