About the position

GLO Resources LLC is seeking an experienced Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager to oversee and manage projects in the Norco, LA area. This full-time role involves preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring projects to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements. The position requires regular interaction with clients and the project team to ensure successful project execution and completion.

Responsibilities

  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status.
  • Develop, monitor, and update project plans and schedules for efficient project execution.
  • Assess impacts on the critical path and near-critical activities and report to the project team.
  • Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in developing corrective action methods.
  • Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis periodically.
  • Maintain a record of scope changes, trends, and variances affecting schedule performance.
  • Review schedules with project team members to ensure accurate and timely data incorporation.
  • Evaluate activity sequences for constructability and make recommendations to manage project milestones.
  • Analyze change orders for schedule impacts.
  • Perform job site walks to verify physical progress of scheduled activities.
  • Facilitate project scheduling meetings and/or interactive planning meetings as required.
  • Develop and record the project's historical schedule information and lessons learned upon project completion.

Requirements

  • Applicable Degree and/or Industry Certifications combined with field experience.
  • Advanced MS Office Skills including Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of mapping concepts.
  • Ability to use math/complete calculations.
  • Working knowledge of Primavera 6.
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
  • Project management and supervision skills.
  • Decision-making ability and leadership skills.
  • Good communication & documentation of work products.
