About the position

The Project Engineer for the Bridge Group at American Structurepoint will play a crucial role in designing large bridge projects across Indiana, Ohio, and Texas. This position offers a dynamic work environment where the engineer will lead structural designs, mentor junior staff, and engage in various aspects of project development. The role emphasizes innovation, technical expertise, and effective communication to meet client needs and contribute to community improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of new bridges using pre-stressed concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel, and timber components
• Development of project cost estimates
• Plan development
• Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA)
• Development and mentoring of less experienced staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• 4-8 years of experience
• Professional Engineer License in Indiana
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to handle pressure and work under tight deadlines
• Experience with Microstation is preferred
