About the position

The Project Engineer for Building Enhancements at Donohoe Construction Company plays a crucial role in supporting multiple construction projects through administrative and technical functions. This position involves managing project documentation, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements, all while contributing to the overall success of the construction process.

Responsibilities

• Set up project files.
• Administer project closeout processes.
• Assist with the development of trade scope packages.
• Work closely with the project manager on daily project requirements such as RFIs, PCOs, submittals/procurement, and meeting minutes.
• Review submittals for compliance with contract requirements.
• Track and maintain subcontractor/supplier contract requirements.
• Maintain logs and tracking for multiple projects on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (Degree in Architecture or Engineering preferred).
• Five to seven years' experience in commercial construction.
• Experience with building envelope systems installation including below-grade envelope systems, air/vapor barriers, waterproofing, fenestrations, cladding, and roofing systems.
• Familiarity with building envelope installation and testing standards including ASTM and AAMA standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Preferred experience with building envelope testing, inspections, commissioning, or building envelope forensics investigations.
• Preferred familiarity or certification in Army Corp of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors, 3-phase construction quality control system.
• Preferred certification as IIBEC Registered Roof Observer (RRO) and/or Registered Exterior Wall Observer (REWO) (or willing to obtain certification).
• Preferred OSHA 10/30 certification (or willing to obtain).
