About the position

The Project Engineer for Small Capital Projects will support the development and execution of projects ranging from $0.2 to $25 million within the Technology Department. This role involves managing multiple projects focused on chemical and energy assets, ensuring technical leadership and stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of process design documents, including project premise and basis of design.
• Develop front-end deliverables such as flow rates, compositions, and product specifications.
• Manage an integrated technical team to deliver final process designs, including PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment data sheets.
• Support the Project Manager in aligning key stakeholders and lead resolution of key process design investigations.
• Follow projects through to commissioning and start-up, providing ongoing technical support.

Requirements

• BS in Chemical Engineering or other relevant disciplines with appropriate experience.
• Preferred 5+ years supporting chemical or refining manufacturing sites with project work process familiarity.
• Strong curiosity and adeptness at asking probing questions to develop project scope.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
