About the position

The Project Engineer is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for the design, monitoring, and execution of various civil engineering projects. This position requires a strong focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and maintaining a high standard of quality throughout the project lifecycle. As a key leader of the project team, the Project Engineer collaborates closely with other engineers, designers, and construction personnel to ensure the successful completion of each project. This role not only demands technical expertise but also strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage project dynamics and stakeholder expectations. In this role, the Project Engineer will be tasked with developing comprehensive cost and timing estimates for project design, execution, and completion. This includes creating detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets that align with the overall project objectives. Regular meetings with project team members will be essential to ensure that project goals are met and that any potential issues are addressed proactively. The Project Engineer will also analyze and optimize project workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Monitoring the project budget is a critical responsibility, ensuring that all costs are managed within established limits. The Project Engineer will communicate project progress to leaders and stakeholders, providing updates and making necessary adjustments to the project plan as required. Troubleshooting any issues or obstacles that arise during the project execution will also be a key part of this role, requiring a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

  • Developing cost and timing estimates for project design, execution, and completion

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
