About the position

The Project Engineer Co-op position at Messer Construction Co. is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. This role involves supporting project management and administration at construction sites, working closely with the site Project Manager and Project Engineer to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Assist the site Project Manager and Project Engineer in project management and administration.
• Conduct site and building layout activities.
• Manage document control processes.
• Ensure quality control on-site.
• Perform field production analysis.
• Provide input for project controls including scheduling and cost reporting.
• Coordinate subcontractors and workforce.
• Control shop drawings and submittals.
• Expedite material and equipment delivery.
• Solicit subcontractor and supplier bids.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using an iPad.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
