About the position

The Project Engineer will manage and supervise subcontracted scope and material resources for a $250 million design-build project in Cincinnati, OH. This role involves overseeing the construction, installation, and commissioning of process equipment to upgrade the existing wastewater services plant for the Cincinnati metro area. The position requires collaboration with the Jacobs design-build team, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and successful startup of equipment, while maintaining up-to-date technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Work with vendors, subcontractors, and Engineering to achieve timely submittal approval
  • Coordinate RFIs to resolution with the assistance of the Engineering team
  • Expedite equipment to ensure on-time delivery
  • Manage the receipt, storage, handling, installation, and commissioning of process equipment
  • Ensure material/equipment is provided and installed in compliance with contract plans and specifications
  • Coordinate and maintain schedule associated with responsible scope
  • Manage and maintain as-built drawings and documentation
  • Assist with monthly cost projections for subcontractors and vendors under their responsibility
  • Manage the closeout process for subcontractors and vendors under your responsibility
  • Support project plan implementation for quality, change management, and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in an applicable field
  • Minimum of 5 years of specific construction project experience
  • Experience in the delivery of municipal water, wastewater, water resources, and/or conveyance type work
  • Working knowledge of construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationship building.
