About the position

As a Project Engineer - Electrical at MSA in our St Paul, MN office, you will play a crucial role in the Building Service Line, contributing to a variety of projects that have a significant and positive impact on the communities we serve. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in projects from inception to completion, allowing you to see the tangible results of your work. You will be responsible for the design of low voltage electrical systems, which includes essential components such as fire alarms, CCTV, keyless entry systems, security systems, sound systems, and media delivery systems. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that these systems are designed effectively and meet all necessary standards and regulations. In addition to design responsibilities, you will be involved in drawing development using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Revit. This will require a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of electrical systems and their integration into building designs. You will also perform code reviews to ensure compliance with local and national regulations, as well as review and process shop drawings and submittals from contractors and vendors. This aspect of the role is critical in maintaining the quality and integrity of the projects we undertake. Project management and client interaction will be key components of your role, providing you with the opportunity to develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will assist in mentoring junior technicians and engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow in their careers. Responsibilities
