About the position

MSA has an opportunity for a Project Engineer - Electrical at our Bettendorf, IA office on the Building Service Line. You will have the opportunity to see, and contribute in, projects from start to finish. The various projects you'll be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve. Responsibilities

  • Design of low voltage electrical systems to include Fire alarm, CCTV, Keyless entry, security, sound systems and Media delivery systems
  • Drawing development using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Perform code reviews
  • Shop drawing and submittal review and processing
  • Project management and client interaction opportunities
  • Assist with mentoring junior technicians and engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
  • 4+ years of prior electrical design experience as an engineering MEP consultant or contractor required
  • Professional Engineer license and/or DES required (IA preferred)
  • Experience with architectural projects such as schools, municipal buildings, health care facilities, commercial buildings or related projects required
  • Prior experience coordinating a project from start to finish with both contractors, clients and other disciplines preferred
  • Prior project management experience required
  • This position requires you have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position
