About the position

The Project Engineer - Electrical position at Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) involves applying engineering principles to design and implement electrical projects within the pulp and paper industry. The role requires direct supervision of trades personnel and contractors, conducting data analysis, and making informed business decisions. Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles and procedures to the design and implementation of assigned engineering projects.
• Design, install, and start-up projects being executed.
• Supervise Mill trades personnel and/or contractors during project implementation.
• Conduct data analysis projects and utilize data for business decision-making.
• Engage in training and development assignments at higher levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or BSEET) required.
• 0-3 years of prior work experience in the pulp & paper industry preferred, but not essential.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, AutoCAD, and Project.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the pulp and paper industry preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and computer skills.
