About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer with a strong background in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, particularly with experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers. This position is based in Dallas, TX, and offers a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per year. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of data center projects, ensuring that all designs, specifications, and drawings meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will work closely with a dedicated team that has been an industry leader for over 20 years, providing solutions that empower our clients to reduce risk and optimize their operational spend. In this role, you will prepare detailed designs and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs), lead project teams, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure successful project execution. Your responsibilities will also include performing thorough analyses and evaluations of existing electrical and building systems, maintaining meticulous records on installations, cabling, UPS, HVAC, fire safety, generators, security, and mechanical systems. You will be expected to ensure that all established goals for quality, timeliness, budget, profitability, safety, and customer satisfaction are met. A solid understanding of construction planning, mechanical and electrical systems, building controls, and fire and security systems is essential for this position. Experience in electrical industrial design is preferred, and proficiency in tools such as RS Means, MS Excel, Word, Project, and AutoCAD is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare designs, specifications, and drawings for data center projects.
  • Create and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Engineering Management).
  • 3 or more years of related work experience in Data Center or a Mission Critical Facility.
  • Knowledge of construction planning, mechanical and electrical systems, building controls, fire and security systems.
  • Experience in electrical industrial design is preferred.
  • Proficiency in RS Means, MS Excel, Word, Project, and AutoCAD.
