About the position

The Gas Turbine Project Engineer at Mitsubishi Power Americas is responsible for leading the engineering and design team to ensure successful technical project execution. This role serves as a liaison between the engineering team, project management, and customers, integrating various engineering, scheduling, and purchasing aspects of projects in accordance with contract obligations. The position requires familiarity with gas turbine design and construction, as well as the ability to manage project schedules and budgets effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for EPC, Owner's Engineer, and Customer on all technical issues related to power project execution.
• Lead the planning, setup, and monitoring of project systems and inter-discipline workflows.
• Understand contract requirements and support the translation of the scope of work to engineering teams.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, and estimates to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
• Support Project Managers in tracking design or specification changes and their impacts.
• Conduct regular meetings with international affiliated companies for project implementation.
• Review project documents and drawings to meet contractual obligations.
• Assist in specification, bid analysis, vendor selection, and capacity assessment for sourced equipment.
• Maintain familiarity with engineering codes applicable to combustion turbines and auxiliary equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 6-8 years of directly related technical experience in power plants, project management, and gas turbines.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in Engineering.
• P.E. license.
• Knowledge of SP3D software.
• Experience with ISO procedures and OSHA safety requirements.
• International business experience.
• Fluency in Japanese and/or Spanish.
