About The Position
The Hardware Project Engineer position at Snap-on Business Solutions is a critical role focused on developing and supporting hardware products specifically designed for heavy-duty repair technicians. As a high-level individual contributor within the Hardware Engineering Team, the Hardware Project Engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include designing circuit boards and firmware for hardware products, ensuring compliance with safety and certification standards, and collaborating closely with contract manufacturers to support production activities. In this role, the engineer will be expected to maintain up-to-date certifications for hardware products, which may include safety, EMI/EMC, and wireless certifications. The engineer will also develop and maintain software utilities and fixtures that are essential for the manufacturing process. Independence in managing various phases of hardware and firmware development is crucial, as is the ability to manage Snap-on's Intellectual Property in accordance with corporate guidelines. The position may also involve miscellaneous duties as assigned, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
