About the position

We are searching for a Project Engineer to support projects throughout Northeast PA and the Lehigh Valley, with a current focus on Susquehanna, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Carbon, Schuylkill, Lehigh, and Berks Counties. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, organized, competent, and professional individual who manages the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering projects including, but not limited to, highways, subdivisions, and land development. This role requires a strong background in quality control (QC) to ensure that all engineering projects meet the required standards and specifications. The Project Engineer will work closely with various stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies, to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. The position also involves conducting site inspections, preparing reports, and maintaining project documentation to track progress and compliance with regulations. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and possess a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices. Additionally, the role may require participation in project meetings and presentations to stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned with project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering projects.
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure compliance with standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer in heavy civil projects.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with quality control processes in engineering projects.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with design-build and value engineering processes.
  • Familiarity with environmental consulting and demolition projects.
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater services.
