About the position

The Project Engineer for Hydrology and Hydraulics in Fort Worth will lead design tasks on various water resources projects, ensuring quality and compliance with engineering standards. This role involves preparing proposals, managing project contracts and finances, and overseeing engineering designs and construction documents. The engineer will also collaborate with construction inspection teams to address design issues during the construction phase.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design tasks on multiple water resources projects.
  • Prepare proposals including scope of work, fee, and schedule.
  • Manage contracts and finances of projects, including budget and cost-estimate reviews.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of engineering designs, specifications, studies, and construction documents.
  • Develop quality work products and designs under the mentorship of senior staff.
  • Create construction site inspection schedules and review reports.
  • Conduct construction site visits and collaboratively address design issues during the construction phase.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering or science field.
  • 4+ years of Hydrology and Hydraulic design and/or modeling experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas or ability to obtain or transfer within 6 months of hire date.
  • Valid TX driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
  • Microstation/OpenRoads Designer experience is a plus.
