The engineer will read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports, preparing calculations to establish appropriate sizing for infrastructure, equipment, and distribution. Additionally, the engineer will research, verify, review, and become familiar with local, state, and national code requirements, participating in project meetings during all phases of the project. The Project Engineer will evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria required on projects, engaging third-party consultants for design assistance or review. They will develop detailed Scopes of Work, Specifications, and Preliminary Implementation Schedules, solicit bids from qualified contractors, and define the final project scope, revising Scope of Work Documents as necessary. The engineer will generate and finalize the Project Estimate, validate the Energy Savings Guarantee and M&V Plan, assist with the Final Contract preparation, and participate in the final Turnover Meeting with the Development and Operations Teams.
