About the position

The Project Engineer III will lead the technical performance of engineering phases on various maintenance projects, focusing on integrity, maintenance digs, cathodic protection systems, and remediation. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and the application of engineering management techniques to enhance performance, quality, cost control, and safety. Collaboration and technical mentorship are key components, as well as the ability to resolve complex problems and develop innovative solutions that impact cost and schedule significantly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical performance of engineering phases on maintenance projects.
  • Implement engineering management techniques within the project life cycle process.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with team members to provide technical mentorship.
  • Identify and resolve complex engineering problems.
  • Develop innovative approaches to address issues affecting cost and schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry.
  • 2 years of experience in a Project Engineer role.
  • Project engineering experience in asset integrity, cathodic protection, or corrosion mitigation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering workflow and Project Life Cycle processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards.
  • Intermediate knowledge of other engineering subject areas design guides and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering deliverable content.
  • Proficiency in construction and constructability practices relevant to integrity maintenance remediation.
  • Strong understanding of project controls and estimating processes.
  • Strong understanding of industry-accepted repairs for integrity maintenance projects.
  • Strong understanding of PHMSA regulations code 192 and 195 related to integrity maintenance program management.
  • Familiarity with NDT technologies.
  • Proficiency in procurement and contract administration, business and financial insight, management techniques, and administrative practices.
  • Experience in Power BI.
  • Experience in Risk Analysis.
  • Lead Certification.
  • Experience in pipeline construction.
  • Experience in system flow analysis.
  • Experience in Aconex.
  • PE certification.
  • Corrosion control management certification.
  • Asset integrity program management certification.
