About the position

The position involves serving as the lead technical representative for engineering activities related to the planning, design, execution, and closeout of Design Change Forms (DCF). The role requires ensuring compliance with the company's Engineering Standards Manual and applicable national and nuclear codes and standards. The candidate will manage design development, coordinate with subcontractors, and support fabrication and construction activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technical requirements during design, fabrication, execution, and testing.
  • Coordinate interfaces among design, execution, A/E, SMEs, and others.
  • Work with an Integrated Project Team (IPT) to ensure scope, requirements, safety, and schedule are implemented and maintained.
  • Manage and process deviation requests, nonconformances, requests for information, and changes to issued design when needed.
  • Support fabrication and execution activities and schedules through progress tracking.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience, including nuclear work in the DOD, DOE, or commercial nuclear industry.
  • Familiarity with project cost and scheduling.
  • Aptitude to become a certified Control Account Manager (CAM) under the Earned Value Management System.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working skills in desktop automation.
