About the position

Haskell is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a focus on industrial wastewater treatment systems to join our innovative Design & Consulting Team. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects across various industries, including food and beverage and healthcare, with project budgets ranging from $0.5 million to $100 million. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the planning, design, and execution of wastewater treatment projects, ensuring technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle. You will apply your Professional Engineer (PE) license to develop and validate engineering plans, specifications, and reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create comprehensive project designs. In this position, you will perform engineering calculations for process design and system hydraulics, work closely with equipment manufacturers to specify and select appropriate wastewater treatment equipment, and assist construction teams with equipment submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs). Conducting site assessments and developing tailored treatment solutions will be key aspects of your role, as will troubleshooting complex issues and optimizing system performance. You will engage with clients to understand their needs, maintain strong relationships, and create and update project documentation, including technical reports and progress updates. Staying informed about industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes will also be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the planning, design, and execution of industrial wastewater treatment projects.
  • Applying PE license to develop and validate engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create comprehensive project designs.
  • Performing engineering calculations for process design and system hydraulics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with 5-10 years of experience in wastewater treatment system design and implementation.
  • Deep knowledge of treatment technologies and system hydraulics.
  • Proficiency in engineering software, including AutoCAD and hydraulic modeling tools.
  • Strong personal management skills, including budget and resource management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a commitment to sustainability and regulatory compliance.
