About the position

As the Project Engineer at GadellNet Consulting Services, you will be integral to the execution of infrastructure projects, collaborating with sales engineering and business development teams to manage the quoting process. This role is crucial for maintaining client trust and involves creating operational and technology-focused service lines to implement effective solutions for clients. The position requires onsite work in the Indianapolis area and emphasizes the importance of technical execution in achieving successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical execution on infrastructure projects.
  • Research, discovery, and planning for the execution of infrastructure projects.
  • Technical configuration, implementation, and execution of infrastructure solutions, including server, network, email, O365, and phone-based projects.
  • Own project issues to reach resolution before project closure.
  • Document infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct technical reviews and lessons learned for all infrastructure projects.
  • Support all aspects of infrastructure projects, guiding internal technical resources and facilitating client requirements.
  • Gather and conduct data analysis and research, train and mentor junior team members, and implement identified opportunities alongside GadellNet teams and client management.
  • Support the project manager in developing client communication.
  • Develop deep business understanding and process knowledge of technical aspects of projects in conjunction with overall project services department standards.
  • Develop recommendations for the client and manage change while minimizing organizational disruption.

Requirements

  • Intermediate level understanding of and experience with Active Directory, including general troubleshooting, DNS, DHCP, Sites and Services, and Trusts.
  • Proficient with VoIP, including installation and system configuration.
  • Intermediate networking experience, including switching (LACP, Trunking, QoS, STP, RSTP, VLAN tagging), routing (Static and Dynamic), and firewalls (ACL, NAT, Site-to-Site VPN, Client and SSL VPN).
  • Intermediate experience with VMware and Hyper-V, including building and configuring virtual servers, clustering, and virtual networking with VLAN tagging.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with SharePoint (implementation, configuration, integrations, and administration).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, including Email Migrations, Entra ID Management and Integration, experience with Intune and Autopilot.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 2 years of experience working with SharePoint (implementation, configuration, integrations, and administration).
  • Experience deploying resources in Microsoft Azure, including servers, VPN connectivity, and backups.
