About the position

The Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of mechanical systems in construction projects, particularly in the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) sector. This role involves significant leadership responsibilities, including making design recommendations and decisions, planning design work, and mentoring junior staff. The position is ideal for someone looking to transition into project management while contributing to a dynamic team in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the Corporate Quality Control Department.
  • Responsible for complete design by discipline for projects of all sizes.
  • Makes major design recommendations and design decisions with little input from senior staff.
  • Plans design work and assigns design duties to staff working on projects.
  • Desire to move into Project Management and seek out future projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5-10 years of MEP/Commercial building design experience desired.
  • Experience with healthcare or education field would be ideal.
  • Ability to perform all essential duties and responsibilities an Engineer performs.
  • Outstanding leadership in either the Technical or Project Management Path items.
  • Ability to provide a high level of leadership to others.
  • Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise.
