The role also involves developing specifications for necessary project equipment, preparing or leading the development of drawings and models based on sketches using standard techniques and computer-assisted design/drafting equipment. The Project Engineer will support the realization of designs through supply chain, production, and field installation and testing, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications. Regular meetings with client representatives will be held to establish requirements for new or existing equipment or systems. The position may require travel to suppliers, fabricators, or other locations for process inspections, factory testing, or to review fabrication issues and improvement opportunities. Additionally, the engineer will prepare and review calculations in support of structural, mechanical, and process designs, work on CAD and other engineering software to create drawings, calculations, and specifications, and assist with manufacturing issue resolution while collaborating with shop personnel on continuous improvement initiatives.
