The Project Engineer - NPD role at Kohler is a pivotal position within the New Product Development team, focusing on the engineering direction of industrial generators. This hybrid role combines detailed design work with high-level strategic participation, allowing the engineer to lead projects from concept to market. The position emphasizes collaboration within cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch of products that meet customer and regulatory specifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive engineering direction for industrial generators.
- Engineer and validate parts, assemblies, and systems.
- Document, verify, and validate product specifications including customer, regulatory, and technical requirements.
- Assure functional acceptability through engineering tools, analysis, and testing.
- Provide technical direction to CAD Design Analysts.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline internal business processes.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering field, preferably in product development.
- Authorization to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
