The Project Engineer - OFCI & Cx at Walbridge will manage and coordinate commissioning activities involving OFCI vendors, subcontractors, and third-party testing agencies. This role is crucial in ensuring that all engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements while supporting the overall construction schedule. The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a rapidly growing sector, particularly in Data Centers, and allows for flexibility in living arrangements across the US.

  • Facilitates the scheduling and coordination of Cx activities with OFCI Vendors, subcontractors, and project superintendents during commissioning.
  • Ensures documentation of the testing results from the commissioning activities.
  • Manages and coordinates issue identification and resolution by the Cx team.
  • Develops, implements, and administers project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents.
  • Ensures project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule.
  • Provides technical support for construction efforts including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, shop drawing processing, etc.
  • Represents the company, project, and/or department during A/E, client, and project management meetings.
  • Interfaces with all on-site departments as required to resolve problems and ensure quality of construction in support of the overall project schedule.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent technical training and work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of building construction experience.
  • Capable of coordinating and scheduling construction activities.
  • Construction Project Engineering and building commissioning experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines.
