Suffolk is seeking a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project administration, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, managing agreements with trade partners, and handling purchase orders and risk management. This role is pivotal in managing the general work performance and quality of the project, as well as the overall progress of the team against the project plan. The Senior Project Manager will produce thorough forecasts of costs to complete, coordinate the use of Oracle with Expedition to identify potential exposures, and require the project team to track costs of field directives and back charges for accurate forecasting. The individual will also be responsible for change order management, ensuring that the project team fully utilizes Expedition to track all Proposed Change Order (PCO) items, and will provide the Owner with up-to-date status reports relating to changes. In addition to managing budgets and change orders, the Senior Project Manager will establish an effective close-out plan early in the project, which includes the collection, review, and packaging of contract close-out documents. They will implement the Noncompliance Reporting System and require the team to utilize the Work List System to manage the completion of project phases. The role also involves managing cash flow, producing effective schedules of values, and ensuring timely payments to subcontractors. The Senior Project Manager will establish a meeting regimen for the project team to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving, and will require the project team to maintain various project logs for cash management, change management, and safety. Furthermore, the Senior Project Manager will build strong relationships with subcontractors, promoting an organized and professional environment while addressing issues promptly. They will work closely with the project team to produce clear and accurate scopes of work and will manage the project schedule to prevent delays. Risk management is a critical aspect of this role, requiring timely notices to owners and subcontractors, and immediate action when non-performing subcontractors are identified. The Senior Project Manager will also focus on quality management, ensuring that quality expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle. Team leadership is essential, as the individual will strive to create a collaborative atmosphere, mentor team members, and oversee their career development.
