About the position

The Project Engineer will support project-specific proposal preparation and manage engineering and plant design activities. This role involves collaboration with the Small Onsite Team to ensure project goals are met in terms of quality, schedule, and cost. The engineer will also assist in contractor evaluations, field commissioning, and provide construction management support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support project-specific proposal preparation including site visits and layout reviews.
• Manage project engineering and plant design activities.
• Develop and review bid and construction packages.
• Complete design safety checklists and assist in obtaining permits.
• Review and document changes and perform engineering calculations.
• Enter order requests for skid and field BOM items.
• Manage fabrication of modules and skids.
• Assist in contractor evaluation and participate in contractor bid walks.
• Assist construction manager in resolving design issues in the field.
• Participate in field commissioning and start-up activities.
• Coordinate with Small On-Site Product Line team to obtain deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 8+ years' experience in plant design, mechanical or control systems engineering.
• Understanding of P&ID diagrams and/or schematic wiring diagrams.
• Basic skill level in AutoCAD.
• Ability to travel up to 20% per year.

Nice-to-haves
