About the position

SCS Engineers is seeking a Mid to Senior Level Solid Waste Engineer to manage and work on diverse solid waste projects. This role involves project management, business development, and staff development, with a primary focus on solid waste management, including landfill gas, landfills, and composting. The position requires both fieldwork and office-based tasks, including engineering calculations, drafting, and client management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and work on diverse solid waste projects.
• Develop proposals and engage with public and private clients.
• Perform project management, business development, and staff development.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
• Make independent decisions on engineering problems and coordinate work.
• Represent the company at meetings and conferences.
• Conduct fieldwork in varied terrain and weather, including surveys and inspections.
• Perform office-based tasks such as CAD drafting and report writing.
• Engage in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant consulting experience in the solid waste industry.
• Experience with landfill gas management, air compliance, and landfill design and permitting.
• Professional Engineer registration required.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
