About the position

The Project Engineer Staff (Control Account Manager) for the F-35 and F-22 Business Operations team is responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure program requirements and deliverables are met. This role involves managing cost and schedule aspects of projects, addressing technical issues, and supporting program reviews. The position emphasizes collaboration and effective communication within an engineering team to achieve mission goals.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all cost and schedule aspects of managed projects
  • Working with the Program Team, Engineering Team, Control Account Managers, Subcontract Management, and the customer to coordinate deliveries and program requirements
  • Supporting team tag-ups with Subcontract Manager, Program Manager, Maintenance Systems Director and Control Account Managers
  • Helping coordinate action item closure
  • Facilitating and coordinating the weekly schedule status meetings, EV reviews, and monthly Program Cost and Schedule Reviews
  • Supporting the Risk Management process by helping identify, document, and manage contract risks and mitigation plans
  • Supporting pop-up tasking for anything Project Engineering related

Requirements

  • Management of cost, schedule and technical aspects of accounts
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) understanding
  • Project Management or Project Engineering experience
  • Developing and executing program or project plans experience
  • Internal/customer Program Reviews experience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working environment across business units and with external customers/counterparts
  • Experience in Metrics development and tracking

Nice-to-haves

  • CAM Certification
  • Generating metrics-based Basis-Of Estimates (BOEs) and providing proposal support
  • Experience with Supplier Management and Coordination
  • Ability to plan strategically and translate these strategies into daily, weekly and monthly tactical actions and tasks
  • Demonstrated self-starter requiring minimal supervision with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven communication skills (verbal and written) with a demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels
  • Experience coordinating across multiple functions or engineering teams
  • Proven Experience and Leadership in Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Demonstrated experience in developing high performance team and leading culture change in the organization
  • Experience in the creation and process flow of Non-Production Requests (NPRs)
  • Experience in the approvals of invoices from suppliers and/or subcontractors
  • Agile Experience
  • F-16 or F-35 experience
  • Experience in JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint
  • PMP certification
