About the position

We are currently seeking a full-time Project Engineer or Manager - Structural to join our bridge design team in any of the following offices: St. Paul MN, Duluth MN, Cedar Rapids IA, Des Moines IA, Dubuque IA, or Quad Cities IA/IL. Hybrid and flexible work arrangements are available based upon experience. This position will partner with our experienced team of bridge designers to provide structural design expertise on state and local bridge projects in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Our growing team includes experienced and graduate transportation staff in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa, providing you with technical support as well as mentorship for your success.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare structural design calculations for bridges and other transportation structures
  • Provide mentorship to graduate engineers
  • Perform field investigations to evaluate structural conditions, and develop repair alternatives
  • Communicate with clients, agencies, and the public
  • Business development related to bridge infrastructure with current and future clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required with an emphasis in structures preferred
  • 4+ years of prior bridge design experience required
  • PE license in Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Iowa required
  • AutoCAD and/or MicroStation proficiency preferred
  • Experience coordinating with Departments of Transportation
  • Previous experience with client relationships preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid leadership and collaboration skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States for any employer (no sponsorship provided)
