About the position

The Project Engineer position at Benesch is designed for an experienced professional engineer with a background in water/wastewater and/or water resources engineering. The role involves managing and directing project teams in the planning and design of water-related infrastructure projects, while also maintaining client relationships. The position offers opportunities for strategic involvement in the growth of the water/wastewater group, with a flexible hybrid work schedule and some travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Self-perform and direct project teams in the planning and design of water-related infrastructure projects.
• Manage client relationships effectively.
• Perform complex analysis and check and sign off on basic design calculations and plan layout drawings.
• Design elements/components of projects and coordinate development with other disciplines.
• Assume responsibility for assigned design calculation files, ensuring adequate independent QC reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience with water resources, drinking water, and/or wastewater.
• Licensed PE in Pennsylvania.
• Increasing skills in creativity and judgment in application of engineering principles.
• Proficiency in multiple software programs specific to the discipline.
• Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment.
