About the position

The Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater at Olsson is responsible for managing small projects related to water and wastewater services. This role involves preparing planning and design documents, performing design calculations, and supervising the work of engineers or technicians. The engineer will coordinate with various teams and clients, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively while maintaining high water quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager on small water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare planning and design documents for projects.
• Perform design calculations related to water and wastewater systems.
• Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of engineers or technicians.
• Develop new and improved techniques and procedures for project execution.
• Coordinate with other Olsson teams, professional staff, technical staff, and clients.
• Travel to job sites for observation in various terrains and weather conditions.
• Mentor younger or less experienced staff as opportunities arise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 6 or more years of experience in wastewater engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
