About the position
The Project Engineer position at Benesch is designed for an experienced professional engineer with a focus on water/wastewater and water resources engineering. The role involves managing and directing project teams in the planning and design of water-related infrastructure projects, while also fostering client relationships and contributing to the growth of the water/wastewater group. The position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule and requires some travel to meet client needs.
Responsibilities
- Self-perform and direct project teams in the planning and design of water-related infrastructure projects.
- Manage client relationships effectively.
- Perform complex analysis and check and sign off on basic design calculations and plan layout drawings.
- Design elements/components of projects and coordinate development with other disciplines.
- Assume responsibility for assigned design calculation files, ensuring adequate independent quality control reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience with water resources, drinking water, and/or wastewater.
- Licensed PE in Pennsylvania.
- Increasing skills in creativity and judgment in application of engineering principles.
- Proficiency in multiple software programs specific to the discipline.
- Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment.
