About the position

As a Project Engineer in the Water/Wastewater sector, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients in southern New Hampshire and Maine from our Portland, ME office. This position involves working within a hybrid remote environment and contributing to various water infrastructure projects, including planning, design, and construction services. You will collaborate with a team of experts to develop project plans, specifications, and cost estimates while ensuring effective communication and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and bid packages.
  • Participate in project discussions regarding technical approach, cost, and scheduling performance.
  • Delegate tasks to other Staff Engineers and prioritize tasks for project completion.
  • Support clients with capital improvement plans and hydraulic modeling services.
  • Undertake study projects including Long Term CSO Control Plans and Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plans.

Requirements

  • Over five years of consulting engineering experience in the water industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • PE license or the ability to obtain one within the next 6 months is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
